Kansas Republican Governor Bill Graves Endorses Governor Kelly for Re-Election

TOPEKA – Today, Republican Kansas Governor Bill Graves endorsed Governor Laura Kelly for re-election. Governor Graves served as the 43rd Governor of Kansas from 1995 to 2003. He was reelected to his second term with the largest percentage of votes of any governor in the nation, and the largest percentage of votes in Kansas history. Prior to being governor he served as Kansas Secretary of State from 1987 to 1995.

 

“Governor Kelly is a proven leader for Kansas and it’s clear she is the only candidate who can bring both parties together to deliver for Kansans,” Republican Governor Bill Graves said. “In 2018, I broke party lines to support Governor Kelly because Kansas needed a steady hand at the wheel to put Kansas back on the map. Over the last four years, Governor Kelly has done just that. She is a common-sense leader who continues to govern from the middle to get things done for Kansans – I’m proud to join her team.”
