Kansas Carpenters Union Endorses Governor Kelly for Reelection

TOPEKA – Today, Governor Laura Kelly’s Campaign announced that the Carpenters’ Regional Council composed of 1,600 Kansas members, has endorsed Governor Kelly for reelection. The Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council represents over 52,000 union carpenters across the midwest. During her first term, Governor Kelly worked to strengthen the working middle class in Kansas by ensuring that labor has a seat at the table. This endorsement highlights Governor Kelly’s continued commitment to growing the Kansas workforce, ensuring that the carpentry industry is able to thrive in Kansas.

 

“Governor Laura Kelly’s rebuilding of Kansas’ infrastructure has brought thousands of projects and jobs to Union Carpenters across the state, allowing the industry to thrive,” Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council Executive Secretary-Treasurer Gary Perinar said.

 

“These past few years, we’ve made historic achievements in business development as well as infrastructure investments – none of this would be possible without Kansas carpenters working tirelessly to keep Kansas up and running,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “I’m looking forward to continuing to uplift the Kansas economy with the support of our carpenters.”
