TOPEKA – Today, Governor Laura Kelly’s campaign released “Back on Track,” the first television ad of the election. The 30-second ad highlights Governor Kelly’s leadership, her ability to bring both parties together to balance the budget, fully fund schools, and fight for tax cuts for every Kansan.

Kansans will see the ad for the first time during the Kansas Jayhawks’ Final Four appearance on Saturday, April 2nd. The ad will run statewide on broadcast and cable television as part of a substantial, six-figure ad buy.

“Over the past four years, Governor Kelly has delivered record economic success and put Kansas back on track,” said campaign manager Shelbi Dantic. “Just like Kansans cheering on the Jayhawks during the Final Four, Governor Kelly’s record of working across the aisle to balance the budget, fully fund schools, and cut taxes is a slam dunk.”

Transcript:
It wasn’t that long ago . . . .

A reckless tax experiment left Kansas with huge budget deficits
and dangerously underfunded schools.

So Kansans voted for change. Governor Laura Kelly.

She brought together Democrats and Republicans to balance the budget.

Fully funding our schools,

Fighting for a tax cut for every Kansan.

And when adversity hit, she worked with both sides.

Always putting what’s best for Kansas ahead of party politics.

Governor Laura Kelly, getting Kansas back on track
