Republicans Across Kansas Endorse Governor Kelly, Highlight Kelly’s proven track record of delivering for Kansans

TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly today announced 60 Kansas Republicans have endorsed her for the 2022 re-election. The endorsements come from a broad coalition of Republican business leaders, Republican community leaders, and former Republican lawmakers from across the state.

“I worked with Governor Kelly for many years when we were both in the Kansas state Senate,” Former Republican Senate President Stephen Morris said. “The Governor has always been willing to work with both sides of the aisle to get things done for Kansans. She is the steady leader we need to keep our state on the path forward.”

“Working across the aisle to get the job done for Kansans is how I’ve always operated, and I’m honored to receive broad support from these Kansas Republicans,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “At the end of the day, all Kansans want the same thing: strong schools, a growing economy, investment in our roads and bridges, a balanced budget, and eliminating the state’s tax on food. I’ll continue to deliver for Kansans in 2022 and beyond.”

Governor Kelly’s first term has led to:

  • Kansas ranking first in the nation for economic development investment per capita;
  • Fully funded schools;
  • Over 425 new transportation projects;
  • Over $8.4 billion in new business investment in Kansas;
  • Over 500 new economic development projects;
  • Over 41,000 created and retained jobs;
  • Extended reliable high-speed internet to over 50,000 homes and businesses.
