Katrina Lewison to chair “Lead Kansas,” a women’s advocacy group for Senator Laura Kelly
Laura Kelly for Kansas announced today that Katrina Lewison, former candidate for lieutenant governor, will chair “Lead Kansas,” a women’s advocacy and engagement group supporting Laura Kelly in her campaign for governor.
“It’s more important than ever that women’s voices are represented in politics, and that’s why I’m excited to chair Lead Kansas and support Laura Kelly for governor,” said Lewison. “We’ve seen strong female candidates up and down the ballot in Kansas and all over the country – and Laura Kelly is no exception. Our goal is to channel the energy we’ve seen across the state for Laura and help get her elected to the governor’s office this November.”.
“Lead Kansas” is a coalition of female supporters working to elect Kelly as the 48th governor of Kansas. The group will be hosting events, volunteering, and working to engage other women across the state to support Kelly.
“I’m honored to have the support of so many dedicated women in my race for governor, including Katrina Lewison,” said Kelly. “Katrina is a remarkable leader and role model. We’ve seen time and time again that when you get a group of strong women together – they can do anything. I look forward to working with Katrina and the women of Lead Kansas to make this state a place where all Kansans can succeed.”
